So it has been a really, really long time...

This is my second email message and again, I hope this is working. As
I believe I previously stated, my Grammy, who I am living with, does
not have the internet, which I know is hard to believe, but it is
true.

Anywho, I've been working away at the costume shop at NCRT 2-3 days a
week. Unfortunately, my helper Emily has left me, which will slow
down my progress greatly from now on, but oh well, I at least had her
helping for a while! We have a very nice plan of how the shop will be
set up and have finished one wall completely, which was quite the
accomplishment in itself. I don't believe I've ever seen that many
pairs of men's pants in my life...then again, I'm not a man, lol.

I was able to see the last show at NCRT, which was Gyspy (I'd italize
or underline this, but I can't on my phone). I have now seen that
show three times...and I'd rank this one #2 out of 3, since I believe
ours was much, much better. They did do a really good job for a
community theatre though. The talent was pretty good, with the actors
who played Herbie and Tulsa standing out the most. Their costumes
were well-planned, with all appearing to be from the same period. The
set was basic but efficient. I will say one thing I greatly enjoyed
was while they were doing set changes, they had vaudeville-esque acts
go on in front of the curtain and they were phenominal! Overall, I
enjoyed the performance.

My next area of work will be with dresses, which is the next wall
over. I believe the plan is to sort by size and then by long and
short and then by color, but we shall see. I really need to get the
costume shop's leader in so she can tell me if she is liking what we
are doing.

Well, au revoir from Nor. Cal for now!

So...this is an attempt via email cus my Grammy doesn't have internet...

So NCRT, aka North Coast Repertory Theatre, is going well. I've been
in twice because of a family emergency on the part of the artistic
director of the theatre. However, we've gotten started on the
organizing of the "cage," or where the lock up the costumes so none
end up disappearing. I have a girl assisting me in my task. She is a
senior in high school who wants to be a stage manager eventually. But
thank god she is helping me because the cage is a MESS! We walked in
and there was barely any room to walk. There were piles of clothes
almost as tall as me in areas. However, within the past two days, we
have cleaned up the piles, put the clothes in their respective areas,
and started labeling sizes. Next step is to just keep labeling and
sorting, type by type, gender by gender. I'll have the next 5 days
off because I'm visiting my uncles, my aunt, and my two lil cousins.
Anyway, hope this works and til next time!

Vive le Californie!
